Meet the Band
Solo Cornet - Lucy Jackson
Lucy is originally from the West Country and has been in the band since she moved to London in 2008.
She started playing cornet when she was 8 years old to spite her brother who played the tuba. Whilst studying Music at Leeds University she played for the University band and also Drighlington Brass Band where she got to compete in the world famous Yorkshire areas in the first section.
She was recently voted in as Social Secretary as she believes half the fun of band should be the social side. Every week she ventures up North to Enfield to escape her hectic mid-20’s lifestyle.
Lucy’s band tip is “Don’t turn up when the principal cornet player is absent”
Outside of the band, Lucy works for a Music Touring company and gets to travel a lot. She is working hard on getting Enfield Band to go on tour somewhere exciting! Otherwise she likes musicals and going out drinking too much with her friends.
