Meet the Band

1st Horn - Sam Rice

Samantha has played tenor horn with Enfield since 2009.  Although she now likes brass band music, as a relative newcomer to the world it all seems a bit of a mystery to her sometimes.  

Sam been playing a brass instrument for about 10 years now and has a fully formed poor playing technique as a consequence of being totally self taught!

Samantha’s first love is choral singing and she is waiting to find time to join a choir again some 25(ish) years after school!

Samantha particularly enjoys orchestral music although she has some way to go, before listening to oboe or clarinet based pieces, with any enthusiasm. In her working life, Samantha is a Primary School Teacher in Borehamwood as well as a mother of three talented and beautiful daughters.
