Meet the Band
Principal Cornet - Steve Gaskell
Steve has been playing since the age of 7 and has been principal cornet with the band for over 10 years.
Born in Chorley, Steve is very proud of his roots in his native Lancashire. He is a very accomplished player and has played principal cornet for over 20 bands over the years. In this time has remained very loyal and committed to the Enfield Band and has often stoically carried the rest of the band as our most important 'corner man' (editorial comment).
He has played with the Ambassador Band of Great Britain and he contests with Regent Brass who are now in the Championship section
Steve loves travelling and enjoys a drink or two.
He claims to have worn lederhosen and have been the last to bed on a Whit March adventure. Neither of these can be independently verified.
